DistinctAuthor42 • 10 mo. ago. I tried getting a battery replacement for my 12 Pro, however they said they are unable to perform the replacement since the system reports battery health is 86% and they can only do it below 80% (even if I pay for it!). However, the system reports battery health at 86% for over a year now, which I doubt.
Go to ebay buy one, replace it and hope. If you’d like to keep the ability to look at the battery’s health and stuff you should buy straight from Apple. I've no issue looking at the health on non apple batteries.. The folks at your local fix-it shop should sell the brand they use.
I replaced the ear speaker (I don't really care about FaceID) and it's turning on no problem. But it isn't charging. I get a notification saying that an accessory is attached if I turn it on with the cord plugged in, but no charge. (I haven't put the screen back in place yet, if that matters at all)
